Shoujo manga have to be STOP!

To the people who don't know what shoujo is, is basically just a genre of manga with a girl as a main character. But is often involve around romance in high school or teenage years.

And eyy, don't get the title wrong.. i love shojo manga. It builds my childhood as a lonely teenage girl whos dreaming of romance one day that will happen. It builds expectation, ecxitement, and a good rub on your belly. I used to like shoujo manga.. correction, i love it. I still do, but if i read one more high school shoujo manga that don't have a good story in it, i think imma die in cringement. 

I mean to be fair, i'm a late college student right now, that might effect how i view shoujo manga. High school student can think like shoujo manga it's like masterpiece, very fluffy and wholesome and nothing wrong with it.  And honestly i used to think like that. But now, when i read it, i get goosebump everytime man. No way people in high school talk like that. Ain't no way people is as daring and cringey as the main hero and lead at the shoujo manga. If i see someone talk that cringey stuff like shoujou manga, imma give him a good hard slap on face lmao, jk. 

I read a ton of shoujo manga. Not just manga tbh, i also read manhwa. The popular manga often take place in high school whereas manhwa often take place in the novel where the main character got reincarnated after got hit by the white truck kun in real life. It's stupid but interesting. As a girl whos been reading a lot of shoujo manga since i was probably in middle school until now, i know how to differentiate between a good and a bad shoujo manga and manhwa. I'm not saying that all shoujo manga is bad, there is a lot of good one too. But, as a reader i honestly think they all have a pretty same plot.

In manga the main character often to be a shy, timid, or plain girl that have one or two friends or even none. I honestly like that, because i presume all the shoujo reader like me can relate, so we can see the main character same as our point of view. But the different between the main character and we as reader, we don't have that talk no jutsu that the main character used to get the main lead attention. Usually the main lead guy will get in trouble, or a troublemaker kid who didn't give a f about what people think of them so all the kid misunderstand him by being the bully. Or the main lead guy is guy who is so popular at school and reject all the pretty girl but have a pretty dark background family. 

Somehow the main chararcter girl is able to make the main lead guy swoon because her talk no jutsu like naruto have and get into the main guy's heart.

And that's the problem.. the communication between the main girl and guy just seem a bit ehh for me. This is now how i read shoujo manga. First, i pick the one with a good review and i look at the art syle. And i personally like the main character to  be a laid back  or hardworking girl, it does not matter to me. And if it perks my attention i would read the first chapter, and if the first chapter gets a pass without a cringey ass speech, then i will read it. And now it's pretty hard to find the one who fit my vibe check.

You probably gonna say, if you don't like shoujo manga you should not just read them. Like i said earlier, i love shoujo manga cause it can be a good everyday read that is light and brighten up your soul because of wholesome it is. And i think the cringey stuff are pretty funny tbh, and i can make fun of it a little bit. You know when the scene it's too cringe to the point is funny, that's how i feel about it. Here is what i think i consider to be a good shoujo manga, i just have one condition. It have to be realistic, i think all shoujo manga is too unrealistic. If the author think about how it's so hard for us to make a move to boys, to fit in society, to able convey our feeling to the significant others, if the main character have that characteristic i think people will connect with her more. And people in real life is to embarrased to said all those shoujo manga traits stuff so, i don't think its realistic either lmao. 

But i mean, at the end of the day its just a shoujo story. They don't make em realistic and so what i complaining about doesn't matter. But i hope at least they make it easy to read, so i don't die in cringement lol. It's my little opion on shoujo manga, i'm still on my way to find  a good shoujo manga. And if i did, it's gonna be a little happines of the day. And if you know a good shojou manga or manhwa let me know lol cause i need it.
